Personality: Levinworth is stubborn, quick-tempered, and sarcastic. He likes to get his paws dirty, and hates being forced to wait. Rash and smart-mouthed, he frequently gets into trouble because of his sharp tongue. He is also quite fond of foul language.
History: Levinworth was born the runt along a litter of five. When he was still a pup, both his parents were shot by humans after they were discovered to be the culprits of a series of livestock killings, so he and all of his siblings were forced to grow up quickly. Levinworth ran off on his own, believing he could take care of himself, only to faint due to three grueling days of exhaustion and hunger taking their toll on him.
When he awoke, he came to find out that he had been rescued by an elderly owl named Bishop. Bishop proceeded to continue providing food for Levinworth, who still treated the kindly own bitterly, still believing he needed no one. Bishop respected Levinworth's ferocity, but continued assuming Levinworth's protection all the same.
A few days later, Levinworth regained his previous strength, and managed to walk back out onto the snow for the first time since he had collapsed in the icy forest. However, Bishop did not rise that morning. He appeared to be still asleep. When Levinworth went to wake him and finally thank the old owl for saving his life, he realized, with horror, that Bishop was dead, having passed away in his sleep. Bishop knew that his days were numbered, and had used the last of them saving a stranger's life.
Levinworth looked after himself from then on, still stricken with grief. Over time, he never forgot the terrible way he treated his savior, and it caused him great pain and sorrow, although his own heart blackened with age. He became even more bitter than he was before, becoming quick to anger and ferocious in a fight. Soon he was outmatched among all other wolves, and the Great Dragon took notice.
Upon being approached by the Great Dragon and asked to serve as a Sentinel and Mediator amongst the animals on Earth, at first he declined, still unwilling to look out for anyone but himself. However, he remembered the suffering he feels every day for treating Bishop so badly, and knew that this wasn't something he wanted to go through again. He accepted the Great Dragon's request, now choosing to serve as Mediator and Sentinel to all animals out of loyalty to the closest thing to a father he had ever known.
